How we handle your information
What we collect
If you use the appointment request form, we collect only: your first name, a phone number or email, your province, an optional preferred day or time, a few optional tick boxes about your situation, and an optional short note. We do not need anything else to arrange an appointment. Please do not enter your Social Insurance Number, bank or card details or any tax information in the form. The form detects some number patterns and refuses them.
Why we collect it
Only to contact you about the appointment you asked for. The tick box on the form records your agreement to this. Sending a request does not confirm an appointment: we have to contact you to agree on a time.
Where it is stored and who sees it
Appointment requests are saved in a database that belongs only to this website, hosted in Canada (Central region). The database is reached only by this website's server and is not open to the public. The request is visible to the website owner after signing in. We do not sell it, share it for advertising, or use it for anything else. This website does not send email or text messages.
The owner may also use a separate private questionnaire, available only after signing in, to send feedback about this website. Those answers are saved in the same database.
How long we keep it
Appointment requests are deleted by the owner once they are no longer needed.
Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by using the contact details on this website. If you are not satisfied, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Question assistant and form filling: no AI
AI is switched off on this website. The “Ask a question” box and the “Fill the form” box use fixed built-in rules on this website's server. What you type there is not sent to any AI service or any other company. A short excerpt of a question the assistant could not match, with phone numbers and email addresses removed, may be logged for a short time so the owner can improve the answers; the text of the appointment form is not logged this way.
Cookies
There are no analytics or advertising trackers. We set one small random “device” cookie only when you use the appointment form, the question assistant, the form filler or the checklist. It has no name or contact detail in it and is used only to limit how many requests one browser can make (to prevent abuse). A sign-in cookie is used only when the website owner logs in.
General information only
The information on this website is general and is not tax advice. We do not promise any refund amount or result. Prices and details shown are subject to confirmation with you before any work starts. Links to other websites, including the Canada Revenue Agency, are provided for convenience; we are not part of the CRA and are not responsible for other sites.
